It has been so long since I have updated my blog but we have just been soo busy, as you can probably imagine with 2 little babies! Cash and Lanie are doing great, her awful acid reflux that she has been suffering from since she was born is starting to get better and she is really starting to catch up on her weight. Cash is just into everything these days! We really love this age because he is just so funny!
In May we were really busy with Colby's baseball, they had a great year and ended up making it all the way to the final game of the D-II College World Series in Cary, NC. It was a lot fo fun and a great experience for them. They ended up losing the final game 2-1 to Lynn University from Boca Raton, FL. It was a great game but in my opinion in ended wrong:( Colby also had a great season. He got awarded MVP of their regional tournament.
Summer has also been busy, but we are trying to take the kids swimming as much as possible, Cash loves the pool!!!

Lanie Kate Killian

Lanie Kate Killian arrived on January 8th at 11:00 p.m. weighing 6lbs 13 oz and 18 inches long. She decided to come three weeks early on her own. I had went into the doctor to get my blood pressure checked at about 1 p.m. and started having contractions ten minutes later! It was 10 times easier then having Cash was. Since then we have been back in the hospital twice because she lost ten percent of her birth weight and had jaundice and was having a hard time figuring out how to "suck". Poor little thing still is not where she should be because now she has "thrush" which is a painful bacterial infection in her mouth. So hopefully she will start getting to where she needs to be in the next week or so. Besides that she is such a good baby, really NEVER cries and would sleep all night if I did not wake her up to eat.
Cash really does not pay much attention to her unless she has a bottle and he doesn't... then he tries to get hers LOL. And now she is in his old bouncy seat so he tries to get in there with her!! I think in about a year they will be best buds!

We finally decided on a name for little baby girl! After a lot of consideration we decided to go with Lanie! This has been our favorite girl name before we even knew that Cash was going to be a boy. I just don't think I could not go with my favorite name even though it doesn't start with a "C", right?!?! So now IF we decide we want a third child in 5+ years we wont be stuck down with trying to figure out a good "C" name. But now I need some suggestions on a middle name! Right now we like Grace and Christine.
Well right now I should be studying for finals and getting projects and papers done but I am being a big procrastinator!!! I also need to get on my Christmas shopping, the ONLY person we have bought for so far is Cash :/ !!

Thinking Thankful

With Thanksgiving coming up I have been really contemplating about everything in my life that I have to be so thankful for. This year I have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy, a wonderful husband, great in-laws (plus a lot of new extended family:)), and a little girl on the way! WOW That really is a lot for one year. Thanksgiving has grown to be one of my favorite holidays just for the reason that I can really think about all that I have to be thankful for. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends, and make sure to take time to remember what you are thankful for:)

I received the Smile award from Kirby. I love Kirby so much, she has be one of my best friends since my first day of school in McMinnville in 8th grade. I remember walking into my first class there, it was a math class and I remember seeing her big smile! We have been great friends ever since. I love you girl!

Nine things about Cash at nine months!!!

1. I am now crawling all over the place and getting into everything!

2. I think its soo funny when Mommy or Daddy tell me NO!

3. I can now pull up on everything, but I am still learning and still fall a lot and right now have a big knot on my head:(

4. I could spend hours in my "Johnny Jump Up"... those little legs just keep jumping and jumping and jumping!!!

5. I have learned how to say "DaDa" but still no "MaMa"

6. Everytime I see a camera or a camera on a cell phone pointed at me I stop what I am doing a Smile:)

7. I LOVE Cheerios

8. I still love taking a bath and I always try to eat the soap suds

9. I throw a fit when someone tries to wipe my nose!

Well I am sitting here patiently waiting the results of this big election! Today was my first time ever voting and I was so excited. I am so glad to be an American and I think that voting is a duty of every American. No matter what your views are politically I just think its important to vote.
We have been soo very busy with school and work that I am just completely exhausted! I plan on putting Halloween pictures on here tomorrow, Cash was the cutest Lion ever! Hope everyone has a good election night:)

Back from Tennessee!

We got home from about a four day trip to Tennessee last night. We had such a good time and were sad to leave. Colby's family is always so great to us. Cash really seemed to have a good time getting spoiled with all of the hugs and kisses, he just has the most kissable cheeks you just cant help but to kiss all over him:) We also got to see Wes, Kirby, and Connor's new house! It was absolutely gorgeous! Cash and Connor got to play together for an hour or so Monday night and they did really well. They are almost exactly a year apart. Tonight Colby and I have just been catching up on homework and unpacking. We just got done watching the debate and I am really just getting tired of McCain's constant attack and sarcasim! UH! But hey, I guess that is what he feels like he needs to do since he is losing!
Anyways, thanks everyone for the baby name suggestions, I think we are getting a little closer on choosing one:)

Baby names

Well we have been thinking about what to name this little girl lately... With Cash we knew right when I saw the name Cash that that was his name, and I have not had that with the little girl yet. We have always loved the name Laney or Lanie not sure how I would spell it, but the problem is we think we want to stick with "C" names... I am going to put up a poll on here with our favorite names so everyone needs to vote!!! Also if anyone has any suggestions "C" or not please let me know!
Not much has been going on this week, just school and work. Colby had still been having really bad headaches and they would only go away when he was laying down, which was hard since he was missing school and baseball practice. So finally Wednesday, after four hours of suffering through classes the doctor suggested doing a blood patch, which is drawing blood from his arm and putting it back in his spine. So we did that and it relieved his headaches instantly. We were very thankful for that. We are going to Tennessee next weekend to see Colby's family and our friends. We are really excited for the visit!

7 Months Old!!!!

I cant believe it but seven months ago tomorrow at 2:55 p.m. I was having the greatest moment of my life, Cash came into the world! He has truly blessed our lives and made us happier then we ever thought possible. I would of never thought that the highlight of my day would be watching my baby going crazy because he was eating a popsicle and loving it!! haha
Well Cash has six month check-up today even though it was a month late we had to cancel because the date of his last appointment we had to be out of town. The doctor said he is a big healthy boy! He weighed in at 20 pounds six ounces (85 percentile) and 27 inches long (50 percentile) head circumference was 93 percentile ( cant remember exact measurement at the moment.) He also had to get his shots today. I am glad I had class and Colby took him because it breaks my heart to see him cry in pain! Colby said he did great and just cried for a minute.

Just wanted to update everyone on our growing boy!!!

At the hospital

Well right now I am sitting in the hospital with Colby trying to convince him we need to watch Dancing with the Stars... Its not going so well haha! Well about 4 o'clock Monday morning Colby was woken up with a really bad headache, a temp of 102, and nausea. At first I just thought he had a virus but this morning when he still had all of those symptoms I thought he should go to the ER. We get there and talk to the doctor and he said it sounds like viral meningitis. Well a CT scan, lots of blood work, pain medicine, and a lumbar puncture(spinal tap) later we find out thats exactly what it is. We are very thankful its not the bacterial form or he would have probably been dead already. So they are keeping him in the hospital to monitor and administer antibiootics. He is feeling better but his head still hurts. We will get to leave in the morning and he will need a lot of rest!!! Now I just pray Cash and I dont get it. I have been disinfecting our apartment tonight so hopefully that helps.

We found a great photographer on the internet. She was located in a town right outside of Clearwater Beach (which is where we got married) and she did a great job. She sent us a disc with all of the pictures but the picture sizes are so big it takes forever to get them uploaded onto the internet and some web sites like Facebook won't even upload them. But anyway here are a few of my fav's but I do LOVE them all:)

Home Sick

Hi everyone!! I have been thinking for awhile now that I really need to create a blog so everyone can keep up with us! SO today I stayed home with Cash because he has been sick, and The Martha Stewart Show was on and it was all about blogging! Then Cash fell asleep and I decided I would make my own! So here it is! Ta-Da! Ha
Well we have been really busy with school, Colby is taking 18 hours plus baseball, I am taking 12 hours plus work! Cash started daycare about a month ago at the First Baptist Church here in town. He loves it and the ladies that take care of him love him! They say he smiles at everything and has a big head, which are both very true:) But he has been sick pretty much ever since he started. Last week I noticed he had a bad cough and it would wake me up in the night so I took him to the doctor and his bronchial tubes were inflamed. We have been doing breathing treatments every 4 fours since then. Then yesterday the daycare calls me saying he had a temp of 103. So i go get him and take hm to the doctor again and he also has little red dots all over him. Turns out he is allergic to ammoxicilian. And the source of fever is just part of what he already had. I was praying it was not chicken pocks because his immunity that came from me is now gone and he does not get the vaccine for that until 1year of age. Soo that is a little update! I will try my best to be a "good blogger". Now I am going to try to figure out how to upload pictures!
